In a world where life is transient,
    Clock ticking without a break,
Only a twin option is open to man,
Of which he has no control over.

    I'll live long like Methuselah,
Stay around till the skin wrinkle,
Enjoy the scenery till age kills the eyes,
Life may support the notion, maybe not.

I'll spend only a little time,
For earth is an unfriendly host,
Who dismisses her guest at a glance,
Life may support the notion, maybe not.

Existence is like a rolling dice,
A game of luck and chance.
    That surprisingly favors the disliked,
    That surprisingly deserts the cherished.

    Time has failed generations,
So it should be watched closely,
Before death calls you to the bar,
Remember to give the world a scar.

Impact and not age is the measure,
    For no one knows tomorrow,
To wait till 30/40 to achieve a dream,
Is the greatest joke you should avoid.

Realisation may not tally with the goal,
Variance may be adverse or favorable,
Half bread is better than none they say,
Your few quota will help grow the world.

Two example is enough to reflect,
Sankara of Burkina Faso died at 37,
Adolf Hitler left at the age of 56,
Both we remember - in different ways.

Write not your name on the sands,
Pen it on mountains and pure stones,
Where water and air cannot wash it off,
Where all can be awed by your impact.
